Izaka-Ya - You can't get more Japanese in Brussels then this...

Around the corner from the Avenue Louise, you will find this casual but authentic Japanese restaurant. No sushi here, some sashimi, but mainly typical Japanese dishes.

The place is run by Japanese and the visited by many many Japanese people.
They all come in with a big smile, obviously happy to get a 'taste of home'.

Yakitoris are a speciality here and very yummy. Large choice of smaller dishes, so why not go for a Japanese Tapas dinner!

  • Advice you make a reservation; This restaurant was packed every time I went there and often just had a seat at the bar.

Nobu - The place for amazing food for people who don't need to communicate...

I was invited to this very glamorous, trendy, up-scale place with a club atmosphere. 2 floors, a place to be seen....

First thing I noticed was that the music was really loud.
We had a big round table and I could only hear my neighbours left and right of me.
Communicating with the rest of my friends was hard.

We had a mixture of dishes and all presented beautifully and very tasty.
I am not a dessert person but it was the best I ever tasted.

This place is very pricy, so good to get invited to;)
The food is an experience, the noise level a bit too much for me...
